"Health and Wellness; Moving to Science!" is an exciting exploration of how important systems in our bodies work and why it means so much to keep these processes functioning at their best. The students have fun learning movement sequences including one that depicts key brain functions and another that incorporates breathing techniques for reducing anxiety. Additionally, information about the importance of sleep, exercise, eating healthy food, and drinking water are discussed. This piece was created in collaboration with and originally presented with Dr. Fletcher M. Bell, a graduate of Columbia Medical School in NYC. Through this experience the students attend their own version of medical school-- "The School of Preventative Medicine"-- or in other words, they learn how to keep their bodies healthy!
