Some teachers have forwarded me their Curriculum Maps, while others send me brief updates and bullet points of what they are doing in their class.
It’s helpful for me to see the overlap of topics from classroom to classroom and how teachers interpret the Common Core themes for their own students.
It’s important for me to get an idea of the monthly/seasonal timeline of specific subject units from classroom to classroom so I can gauge the best months to present certain themed stories.
By sending in this information, new stories can be generated as well! Thanks!

*Additionally, sending Curriculum Maps or Curriculum Bullet Points are particularly important when selecting the "Choose Your Theme(s)" session.

Example of sharing Curriculum Bullet Points:
The item below is cut and pasted from an email from a 5th grade teacher briefly describing an overview of her curriculum for the remainder of the school year. Based on just the emailed info below, I was able to create the story, “Time Machine”:
So here are some topics we will be learning moving forward after testing is over:
Social Studies: Westward Expansion, Lewis and Clark, Gold Rush, etc. I also think the kids would really enjoy doing the Ancient Civilizations even though we have finished it.
Science: Simple Machines
Math: Averages, Coordinate Graphing, Rate
Writing: Narrative writing
